Interesting No4 rifle
On the website of a famous British gunsmithing firm at the moment, there is an early No4 with cut-off listed for sale.
Photos seem to show a bolt with a bored-out knob - this would be original for a trials rifle from what I've read, pity the original markings are gone.

No, not at all.
For the firm in question, they make a good steel scope mount for the No 4.
