A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Seems a pretty rare scope according to PL's book Telescope Sighting No.32 the MkIII scope it was introduced as V5 OS 2039A (Which is on this scope) only thing is according to the records the MKIII was adopted on 7th Oct 1944.
So the descriptor is incorrect still at $4100/USD thats getting up there any matches on the rifles serial No. ?

Looks like it was last used on an L42A1 by the markings. Here is a link:

Yes, it's actually a L1A1 scope complete with a Rose Brothers bracket. Ideal for someone with a scopeless L42A1.....

Wonder what the sellers acceptable "best offer" would be?
