12 Guage, 00 Buckshot, an hour after sunset.
Henry was my friend for twenty years. Viet Nam veteran, boon companion, superb raconteur. Studiously unkempt, he wore his hair and Beard very long.
It was white.
(Courier News, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, USA)
"READINGTON — A Whitehouse Station man was killed Wednesday, Feb. 18, while hunting after he was shot in the abdomen by a friend, authorities said.
Henry Zurawski, 64, was pronounced dead at an area hospital, although police said he was conscious and breathing when rescue workers responded around 6 p.m. to 347 Mountain Road for the reported hunting accident.
Authorities said Ronald Karnaugh, 42, of Lebanon Borough hit Zurawski with one shotgun round as Zurawski was walking through the woods in an attempt to push deer toward Karnaugh.
Both men had permission to hunt deer on the property but were doing so out of season, police said.
An investigation is being conducted by township police with assistance from the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office and the state Division of Fish & Wildlife.
Police said they will decide whether or not to file criminal charges after "a comprehensive investigation."
Words fail me.

im sorry for your loss , no mater what the circumstances it hurts greatly to loose a friend ,
having said that - ive always felt driving deer to be risky , and im not at all sure how that 'out of season' thing will play out , even with permission , im sure your friend felt 'safe' with the other fellow , but he will live the rest of his life knowing what this cost ,
again , im sorry
