The Good Old Gew is Still Shooting Straight

Saturday, I took my old Gew. 98 to the range.
I had some reloads I made last year, and was not really expecting to do anything particularly good, but...
I sat down, started shooting, found the target and... BAM. I am really satisfied.
Just a couple of pulled shots after finding the right sight arrangement.
After that, all rounds landed in about 3 inches at 200 metres.
Since last time I shot it, the rounds landed a tad to the right, I did not mind adjusting the front sight. I think it was the different light compared to last year.
The rifle is original, no tweaks, no smooth trigger. Everything absolutely military grade.
    I don't think I will complain

What's with the 3:00 O'clocker Ovidio "Trigger shot"

Good shooting by the way Ovidio.

I have an "S" sight off a WWI GEWicon in my sight collection.

I'm not doing unbelievable feats, but I shoot straight enough. I'm just so glad that I have a witness here in the forum who can vouch for me.

I always like the looks of the long '98. Too bad they are mostly unavailable now.
