Some items I procured over the last week a Leopard Tank 105mm main gun steel case (Btm Rt 303 round for scale) to go with another I have complete with I am told its carrying clip. (Still searching for a brass Leopard case) The seller said the the carrying clips were a bit rare I think they are for making it easier for the loader pulling the round out of the rack in the turret, perhaps some tankies could comment.
Also a pretty beat up Mills-36 no marks with 1 spoon lug missing got it for $80 not real happy as the seller did not let me know of the missing lug till I received it. Had visions of getting a spoon etc for it but it will remain like that but it sorta grows on you.

The M-36 are scarce on the ground around here and you get what you can is the slightly pregnant looking shape the WWI style as compared to my 1941 WWII Mills-36 which is a lot slimmer. Thanks in advance.

I wonder if you could "replace/repair" the missing ear of the grenade sufficiently to support a spoon. Welding cast iron is a slightly specialist procedure and so I wonder if a much simpler alternative could be to glue a replacement ear onto the grenade casing. Perhaps the replacement ear could be made from a piece of hardwood or plastic? The repair only has to be good enough/strong enough to support the spoon for display purposes and doesn't need to be as strong as the original.

Looks like the M36 came out of the ground, probably a dump recovery because of the missing ear. It would make it ineffective for training. Here's my M36s. Two CDN and one UK.

Probably leave it like it is UK sorta looks grizzly as it is, I have just ordered a fake fuse set up for my other M-36 which will make it complete right down to the grenade thrower plate which by a fortuitous coincidence is dated the same as the grenade even though I brought them @ 10 years apart.
The Leopard round clip fits over the base of the case hence that's why it is propped against it.

hi cinders, I asked a colleague about the handle, he said he only did one shoot as a loader on a leopard (with 1st armoured?) and had heard of the clips but wasn't issued/never saw one. he spent most of his time on scorpion turreted apc's.

he said the shells were stored right down low and were jammed in tight. he just used his fingers to pull them out. he said something about when pulling the shells out on the loaders side with the clip a right handed person would then have to flip them or swap hands (or something along those lines) as they would be back to front.
