    Diedrich Ulpts 1860-1940 Dwarf Actor

While sorting through my late grandmother's photographic collection, recently, I came across this autographed photo of someone that I had never heard of before. Looking up the name online it appears that Diedrich Ulpts was a dwarf, born in 1860, finding work as a dwarf actor and passed away in 1940. There appears to be little else on the internet about him. Being born in Victorian times with a disability such as this meant very little in terms of employment opportunities or rights but one thing a dwarf could do is go on stage where the public would pay to look at you.

I wondered if anyone here has heard of him, please, and also what sort of value this item may have should I decide to sell it at some point, please?

    Many thanks for any information.

He has one small credit on IMDb. You find the right guy; you might get something for the photo, but my guess is that it isn't worth much unfortunately. Had he been young enough to star in the Wizard of Oz, you might have something, but he was 79 when it was made and not listed as being in it.

Assuming that it was my gran who got it, I suspect that she got it in the 1920's after seeing one of his shows.
