Looks like one of the Springfield Sporters buy out. Remember walking past stacks of those all the way up to the roof.

You really threw me off with putting this here in the shotgun thread. But I guess that is what it is.

They used to be 25.00 at one time right off the rack. I mean really nice looking rifles too. The ammo was scarce for along time. Now cases of it are back for sale. The same thing for the wire wrapped rifle for lunching grenades they were 25.00. The grenade cups used to be about 15.00. Now look at those prices.

the only place they seem to do is Dunhams in Michigan. bastards.... those crooks are notorious for jacking up price on surplus.
last time they had a surplus rifle, it was how do you say crappy mithcells and they actually added 50% to the mitchells website msrp

Resurrecting and older thread, I wanted to remark on my experience with the Century u fix em 410 muskets. I bought three: one 1915 BSA, one 1909 Enfield and the last was a 1923 Ishapore. Other than the cracked stocks or hand guards, dirt and grease they were gems. All of them had matching numbers and a pristine bore once cleaned. I shot one so far and it was spot on.
Great project guns.

maybe resurrecting the thread will entice usabaker to post some pics and report on his cleanup project?

It looks like mine, but they clean up fine. Mine was not converted to paper shells, it fits original brass. Back at that time lucky gunner had a ton of surplus ammo- cheep. They fire great. Like an old musket at 75 yards. You can see the story of my $150 find. An old SRF post

I haven't got to it just yet. Got side tracked by a few SKS's and a Remington 700 ADL. Was able to buy someone ammo for it though.
