To all who have taken part would like to thank them all, looking back over the posts etc, I have noticed (and am guilty) of not posting the results etc, I was sure this was at the start but cant find it so will produce another as the original is on a memory stick but was lost in a ships bilge, may find it in the strainer some day but have my doubts.

As there only a few who have had the correct amount of cards (and I,m guilty of only one), I think its only fair to continue this year with two cards per rifle rather than the four that was planned or maybe even reduce it to one?, I know my range time was cut short last year and I guess others may be in the same boat, but would appreciate any feed back regarding this before I change the details etc, so any thoughts or views on the number of cards either one or two ? let me know.

To me the two cards are OK. Maybe that you can make something like a deadline for registration to take part at the shooting???

    Ulrich,

Thanks for the imput and depending how it goes this year, will look into registration for the future but would like to keep it as simple as possible so anyone can take part right up to the last minute.

The problem we have is there are a lot of Milsurp members who dont use Milsurps to its full potential, so miss out on a lot of info etc, I know for a fact, Yourself, Jmoore, Patrick and Myself .. and many more, surf all parts of Milsurps, where as there are a lot of members who stick to a paticular forum and dont often venture into the unknown, but once the blinkers are off ...........

I like the idea of 2 cards per rifle. That way you go back to the range with the idea; Maybe I can get a little better than that last one!

It seems many of the later entries did not use some variant of the "regulation" pistol target. Even with further allowance of offsetting the target to allow for errant 100 zeroing capabilities /sights.

    How to address?

BTW, most all of my range time since August has been centered around what were decided to be non-milsurps, i.e. M1Aicon/M14 platform rifles with civilian produced receivers. So no new targets. (doing some experimentation and projects on the platform)

Once I quit obsessing, new entries will be forthcoming!

A good point Jmoore, I can only mark the correct card and the ones with the marker on need a bit of guess work, but the ones you mention I can only ask the member whatever he uses it needs to have the dimensions on as it the first post, IE needs rings at the set distance, if these are drawn on with a compass then I can mark them.
On the subject of marking, only a few left to score and so far looks impressive.

    2011 results

Managed to get them up, (if I,ve left anyone out or there is a mistake please PM me and I fill fix it) Sorry for no table or box etc, my laptop has no excel, and computer at work down, will try to update it later, some excellent shooting, well done to sarge1998 as he produced 2 cards hence the two scores.
17 entries for cat 1, and consideing we are from all corners of the globe more than impressed with the first year (or half year as it was) and thanks to all for taking part, I,ve tried to score the cards the best I can, not easy looking at pics on the laptop.

Styblo, I couldnt count you card due to the ten shots, same goes to mausernut there were two cards I couldnt enter due to the target not having the rings as stated in the first page.

Hope to see the same names this year and maybe a few more.

    Regards
    Geoff

Perhaps you ought to start a new sticky thread for the 2012 entries.

Or maybe this could be a sub-forum like the "Garandicon Photo of the Day".

Regardless, thanks for the idea and esp. the work to keep it going!

(I was headed to the range this morning after work, but it became a bit dangerous. Too sleepy!)
