7.62x54R ammo spam can. Need help identifying.
I got this spam can for my Fiinish Mosin. The can is missing the factory code as far as I can tell. Not sure exactly what it is. Can someone help identify it without me having to open it? Thanks.

IIRC,
This is Russian made for export by a company named Fronse (Sp?) I believe for a few years in the early 80's. Having NO factory code on the can is how I remember it was meant for Export. But don't bet the house payment on my info.

Funny you should comment on my post.
I literally just opened the can a few minutes ago.
Head stamp 60 84.

Good idea,
Still use the can for display
Edit: I think it might have been spelled Frunse, but double check.

My understanding is the 179 is either powder lot or factory and 82 is powder manufacture date. As I understand it.
I will pull and weigh a bullet asap.

Not much bullet bearing surface inside the case neck. I wouldn't have expected that.

Using my Hornady volley bullet puller, it still took a great deal of force to get the bullet to budge.

Frunze.... Frunze....... Frunze......
I was sorta close. I think it was 20 years ago when I ran across this before. Not bad, considering I never remember my wedding date.
