I have seen a few 1917 Enfield bolts (all Remingtons) with a very small hole drilled just behind the extractor groove at bolt front. The hole was at a 90 degree angle to the locking lugs and had a small set screw installed. Does anyone know what the purpose for this addition hole might have been?Information
