    Is This Italian Walnut?

    I'd like to find out if this rifle is Italianicon Walnut. The stock is marked 1899 & the serial #192xxx. It has what I believe to be a 1902 rear sight.

    I would have to say that it does not appear to be Italianicon in your photos.

    I agree with SDKRAG, looks like a light colored standard wood stock.
    It. walnut stocks started showing up in late 1899 around s/n 234,000.
    Nice looking rifle though!

    Thanks for the info. The bore on this rifle is excellent, and it's very accurate.
