A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. Thumbs up

    Hi folks

    Kia ora from New Zealandicon.

I'm new to military surplus and came across your site in my newly rekindled passion of firearms. I attended a "military weapons only" shoot at a local club a few months back with a mate of mine and ever since then it's been guns, guns, guns. It was awesome to be standing amidst all the M14icon's, M1's, SMLE's, K98icon's, 91/30's, SKS's, M305's, the list goes on and on. I am now a member.
Cheapest options for me, in NZ, to become "active" are Norinco SKS's and Mosin Nagants (MN), specifically the 91/30. I now have one of each. I have my eye on an MN M44 which will probably be my next purchase. Another reason for selecting these rifles (apart from their cheap purchase price) is the ammo is cheap too. Decades ago I used to shoot Brit .303's but their ammo is too expensive now hence the change to Chinese and Russianicon.
Well, that's enough for this novel. I am sure I will find a wealth of information here, and look forward to learning more and more for my new found passion(s).

    New Enfield Collector

Greetings to the Forum members. I am new to Enfields but have always wanted one. I have recently purchased a grenade rifle and will soon post a message about the markings I have found with requests for information about those markings.

My interests include collecting WWII memorabilia and military arms collecting. I really hope to learn more form the information discussed in these forums.

    Hello,
I am new to this forum and a novice Military rifle collector. I am married with 4 children and 3 dogs my wife is a shooting enthusiast as well. I have a wealth of experience carrying the current M16icon/AR platform. I retired with 22 years in the Army/USMC and now work as a police officer, sadly watching our nation decay daily as I stuff my fingers in the dikes.

My interests here lie in collecting US service rifles and shooting them in NRA high power matches. I also enjoy collecitng Mausers and tinkering with them. I reload and while I firmly believe in slowly developing my loads, safely, I also enjoy learning from others. I hope to share and learn here with all of you.
    Heath

    Hello I am Bob,

I am a military firearm collector and shooter. I have military experience and i like to investigate prior usage and the history of the firearms i collect. My collection is a live one and i shoot all my weapons . Well, maybe not. I will never shoot my Remington-UMC model 1911. Neither will my Johnson 1941 ever again shoot in anger or otherwise .

I collect Canadianicon , American and Britishicon military firearms of the 20th century. I have used a lot of them in the service . Take for example my service pistol . The ( Browning ) Inglis High Power has been with us for nearly 67 years !

Happy to be part of your bunch now. Regards. Bob

Hello everyone, just a quick introduction - my name's Kevin & sadly I'm old enough for my knees to creak when I bend 'em, but happily not yet old enough to know better...

I'm a professional archaeologist, but an (enthusiastic!) amateur collector, mainly of uniform items & personal equipment, but beginning to dip my toe more into the 'hardware' end of things, although I haven't yet worked out how I'm going to sneak a Bren gun (my Dad's favourite weapon when he was in the Lincolnshire Regt. in the late '40s/early '50s) into the house past my better half...

    Cheers,

    Kevin
